All you have to do is purchase OEM parts, in new condition, from other dealers at a discount. These are the same exact parts that you are purchasing at cost from the manufacturer.
Our top buyers are making at least $ 20,000.00 in additional gross every month just by buying parts at discount. On my calculator that adds up to an extra $ 250,000.00 per year in fixed operations gross.

Why would a dealer want to sell me their parts at a discount ? That is a good question. Most buyers are surprised to learn that they can even buy parts at discount.
These are the main issues that have created this wonderful opportunity for you:
- The manufacturers are linking purchase discounts and incentives to idle inventory percentage.
- Return reserves have been significantly reduced in the last couple years.
- Special order parts get out of hand.
- New parts managers are inheriting a mess from the previous guy not doing a good job.
- Many parts managers are unaccountable or are not very well trained.

We have brokered offers at discount for more than 1,000 different selling dealers in the last 3 years.
How does the program work ? Dealer Parts Trader created a web based, Power Broker Tool to create opportunites for you to buy parts at discount. As a buyer, you would submit to us a list of parts that you purchase 6 or more times per year. The list will have somewhere between 1,500 and 10,000 part numbers on it. ( We have IT guys available to capture data from most computer systems. )
Once we have your data, we import it into the Power Broker Tool and begin to make money for you.
By comparing your list of parts with a sellers list of parts, we create an offer. The average offer is for
$ 2,500.00 or more and may include anywhere from 25 - 100 parts.
We always send the offers to the sellers first. There is no reason for you to consider buying parts that are not available or that the seller does not want to sell. The seller does a quick bin check to verify the parts are in stock and in sellable condition. The seller also considers how far the parts are going to be shipped when deciding what to sell.
After the seller has reviewed and approved the offer, you receive an e-mail telling you that you have an opportunity to buy parts. You have to login into our website and review the list of parts on the offer. Depending on your current qty on hand, you should be interested in buying most of the parts on the list. You select the parts you want and approve the list.
The seller then boxes up the parts, creates an invoice and mails them out to you. You receive the parts in and check them for accuracy and condition and issue a check to the seller.
In most cases the parts that are on these offers are parts that you already have 1-2 or more of on the shelf. Therefore, there is no sense of urgency for you to receive the offers in the next 5 days. You have the luxury of replenishing your fast moving parts at substantial discounts.
Some of our buyers have as many as 50 of these transactions going on at once.
What is the discount rate ? All of the sellers have agreed to sell their parts at .45 cents on the dollar and pay the shipping costs to get the parts to you.
How does Dealer Parts Trader ( DPT ) get paid ? In addition to paying the seller .45 cents on the dollar, the buyer pays DPT a commission on each transaction. The commission % is based on your monthly purchases and ranges from 10 - 15 %.
DPT creates an invoice for each buyer once per month around the 25th of the month. We add up all of the finalized transactions in the month to come up with your total purchases. Here is a breakdown of the commission levels:
- If you purchase less than $ 10,000.00 of parts at dealer cost in a calendar month, you will pay us a 15 % commission. Commission is calculated on dealer cost of parts. Your net purchase price for parts would be .60 cents on the dollar.
- If you purchase between $ 10,000.00 - $ 25,000.00 parts at dealer cost in a calendar month, you will pay us a 12.5 % commission. Commission is calculated on dealer cost of parts. Your net purchase price for parts would be .57 1/2 cents on the dollar.
- If you purchase more than $ 25,000.00 parts at dealer cost in a calendar month, you will pay us a 10 % commission. Commission is calculated on dealer cost of parts. Your net purchase price for parts would be .55 cents on the dollar.
Example - If your monthly purchases at dealer cost for this month were $ 8,500.00, you would owe DPT a commission amount of $ 1,275.00 ( 15 % ). You would pay a net of .60 cents on the dollar. Your extra gross would be $ 3,400.00. ( Chances are you only spent 3 or 4 hours to earn this money )
Example 2 - You decided that this program is your new gravy train and purchased a total of $ 30,000.00 of parts at dealer cost this month. You would owe DPT a commission amount of $ 3,000.00 and your extra gross for this month would be $ 13,500.00.
Maybe you have some idle that you need to move as well ? We have two courses of action for you to consider with your own idle parts inventory:
- We would be happy to try and sell some idle parts for you to other buyers.
- Set aside some of the gross you make by buying fast moving parts and create a scrap account. Throw the parts away and don't mess with them. We have many buyers that have bought their way out of having idle parts.
